Aspirin is a salicylate drug that is often used to help relieve minor pains and aches in the body. These include the occasional headache, nausea, heat stroke, overall weakness and fever. It is a relatively mild yet effective drug and is available over the counter. One need not have a prescription in order to get it. Aspirin produces an antiplatelet effect that helps prevent platelets from over clotting an open wound. In other terms this drug is used long term to help prevent heart attacks, strokes, and irregular blood clotting formation in the body. The dosage for this is fairly low. |
