Pain Relief with Devils Claw

Devils claw is an herbal that is botanically known as Haprpagonhytum and received the name devils claw because of the claw shaped hooks on the plants fruit and is a plant that is native to Africa. This herbal with the odd fruit has been used in pain relief for centuries in many cultures and was used for treatment of fever and arthritis, but it was also used for treatment of the kidneys, gallbladder and for stomach disorders. This is an herbal that scientific studies have been done that have isolated an active compound known as hapragosides. Along with the isolation of this active pain relief compound there have been studies done using devils claw that successfully treated back pain and other types of pain with regular use. These findings were published within the medical community, although this might not be a mainstream pain relief medication it has been proven to be effective in pain relief.
