Diagnosis of CRPS

CRPS , unlike most other diseases it is very difficult and almost next to impossible to diagnose especially during the early stages of the disease. The only way the specialists and doctors use to try and diagnose this disease is by looking at the signs and symptoms that the patient represents. Like we mentioned it is difficult to pinpoint exactly whether it is CPRS or not even by looking at the signs and symptoms since these symptoms or common can be presented with patients suffering from numerous other diseases. This diagnosis is further made complicated due to the fact that some patients instead of getting worse as the time goes by as we know are part of the symptoms of CRPS their condition starts improving only to get worse maybe after a different cause of treatment has been offered due to the wrong diagnosis. CPRS has no specific testing procedure, therefore what the clinicians do, they test the patient for all the other diseases that present themselves with similar symptoms ruling them out one by one till they get to the conclusion on whether it is CRPS or not .Sometimes these process may take some time and by the time they get to know, the disease may have moved to its final stages, which as we know is irreversible.
