Herbals for Lower Back Pain Relief

The herbals that can be used for lower back pain are often several herbals mixed together in order to be used for pain relief in the forms of teas, tinctures and tonics. These include:

  • Turmeric, ginger and garlic in a small amount of water that is heated, which can then be used as a rub to massage on sore areas of the body, including the lower back for pain relief.   • Ginger boiled in water to make a tea will work internally to relieve lower back pain and is also a herbal remedy for treating sore throats.
  • Chamomile and licorice boiled together to make a tea have properties that are able to reduce lower back pain and at the same time chamomile is known for relaxing the entire body. This is a good choice when the lower back pain is caused by stress as chamomile has natural properties to relieve stress.
  • Cayenne or red pepper has properties that can naturally help with lower back, this is also known as capsaicin. Capsaicin can also be found in some topical creams that can be found over the counter or by prescription for treatment of sore muscles, lower back pain and arthritis.

These are some of the remedies that can be used for pain relief instead of over the counter or prescription medications.
