How is Sinus Pain Diagnosed?

Diagnosing sinus pain from other kinds of pain should not be very difficult if the person suffers from prolonged diseases and problems. For instance, cold and cough along with headache is normal in winters and rainy season with a lot of people. However, those who also show other symptoms with these regular ones, such as facial pain, inability to concentrate on work, problems in reading and in watching TV, sharp pain attacks in the head or near the eyes etc. are diagnosed to have sinus. Also, those who have cold very often can develop sinus in the long run.
Doctors initially try and give medicines to fight with the usual cold and cough symptoms. However, when the medicines stop to show the effect in sometime or do not improve the situation at all, then one can know that it could possibly be sinus. Sinus patients often have problems in breathing from their nose, and might be doing it from their mouth instead. Besides, they also have a tendency to be nasal speakers. It is very important to ensure that such patients are kept away from colder areas, and are always away from any factor that can trigger a pain attack.
