Sportscreme

Sportscreme is a pain relieving cream made by Chattem.  It is an odorless cream that is capable of deep penetration into the point of pain in joints and muscles.  This pain relief cream is popular with athletes.  It is massaged into the painful areas before exercise is begun.  It is useful to give hours of pain relief and can help prevent stiffness from setting in.  Medical doctors recommend using this pain relief cream to patients who are experiencing arthritis and other joint pain who do not want to take prescription pain medication. The active ingredient in Sprotscreme is Trolamine Salicylate in a 10% concentration.  It’s ingredients also include cetyl alcohol, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Yellow No. 5, Fragrance, Glycerin, Methylparaben, Mineral Oil, Potassium Phosphate, Propylparaben, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine and water.  Sportscreme should not be used more than every three hours and not more than 4 times a day.  The best way to apply it is to apply a small amount to the affected area and massage it into the skin.  You can use this cream at nighttime as well.  It is odorless and will not stain bedding or your clothes.  You can find it in most grocery stores and in drug stores everywhere and the only side effect associated with it is a possible allergic reaction that can result in redness or rash.
